FAQ
What is exactly a Game Connection event?
Game Connection is the deal making event – bringing together over 1500 developers, publishers, distributors & service providers looking for new partners and/or clients.
It takes place twice a year – once in Europe and once in the US, gathering more than 750 companies from more than 60 countries. Among them, are top buyers like Activizion Blizzard, Amazon, Apple, King.com, NetEase… and much more !
Is Game Connection an international show?
Yes it is! Both events (America and Europe) each respectively bring together industry professionals from over 60 countries.
What is Let’s Meet?
Time is money – and using Game Connection will save you a lot of time! With our match making system Let’s Meet, Game Connection attendees pre-schedule an average of 30 meetings in just 3 days, and those that use Let’s Meet intensively can get up to 50 meetings in that time!
90% of participants use the match-making system intensively, unlike many other industry events where only a small percentage of participants use the match-making tool. So, instead of having to wander around the showfloor looking for potential partners/client – participants can turn up, safe in the knowledge that every single meeting they have is with pre-qualified prospects interested in what they have to offer.
I want to register. What are my options?
There are two options to register for Game Connection. Your choice depends on what you are looking for.
Exhibitor package
The Business & Exhibitor package gives participants full access to everything Game Connection has to offer:
- Custom number of passes giving full access to all days of the event
- Each pass has access to Paris Games Week (only for Game Connection Europe)
- A booth with table and branding on the showfloor (a place to showcase your company as well as a comfortable base for all your meetings)
- Access to the online matchmaking system Let’s Meet – the system from which to contact other participants and organise your meetings with them
- Unlimited meetings
Business Pass
The Business package gives participants the same access to Game Connection as the Business & Exhibitor Package but you won’t have a booth to hold your meetings. They will take place at a meeting point or at your contact’s booth
- 3 full access to the all days of the event
- Each pass has access to Paris Games Week (only for Game Connection Europe)
- Access to the online matchmaking system Let’s Meet – the system from which to contact other participants and organise your meetings with them
- Unlimited meetings
Why should I attend Game Connection?
Game Connection is the Deal Making event. Over 2700 senior decision makers attend each Game Connection looking to sign deals.
It is this singular focus on ‘doing business’ that makes Game Connection so efficient.
Thanks to our matchmaking system Let’s Meet, participants are able to organise meetings in advance – saving a ton of time on-site. Many participants have back-to-back meetings throughout the 3 days – it’s tiring for sure, but very effective.
Because of this over 80% of participants say they have signed deals thanks to meetings from Game Connection.
If you are looking to find new partners and/or clients then you need to attend Game Connection:
You should be at Game Connection if you are:
A developer looking for: publishing and/or distribution partners, service providers, work-for-hire and co-production
A publisher or distributor: looking for new games, partners, service providers
Service provider: looking for new clients
Is there always the same people at each Game Connection?
Game Connection is run twice a year – once in San Francisco and once in Paris.
The audience to these two events are quite different – though there are overlaps. Participants will meet some companies that they saw at the other Game Connection, but in general the event attracts a different group because of the location.
On a year to year basis (as opposed to between the two events in the same year), Game Connection attracts a core audience of ‘buyers’ to each event – publishers, distributors and some developers, looking for games, partners and service providers. This accounts for roughly 50% of the participants and we continuously add new companies to this core group of participants
The remaining 50% is made up of new companies that have not attended a Game Connection before.
Overall, this means that participants are meeting with a large percentage of new companies both between the America and Europe versions, as well as year on year.
