Description: More and more central to our human concerns, the energy impact of our work and productions must be taken into consideration. The most part of the energy consumption in our industry is while playing. We are working for "Moonwakers," our latest production, on design elements that make the energy impact of a piece of work "tangible." In example, the selection of graphic parameters is not based on their "visual quality" but on their impact in terms of resources (number of watts consumed) - LOW MID HIGH consumption. Moreover, we choose to use it as a full-fledged gameplay element. For example: Playing in "low impact" mode allows more time to solve puzzles and finish the game before the critical hour. Imagine the Worlwide Energy Impact if every game, for the first launch was set to "Medium energy impact" instead of "Ultra Quality" ? the players could set it to "Ultra" later but they certainly will enjoy their game the same way in "Medium Impact".
Intended audience: Game developpers, Game designers, producers and even artists who could be interested in dsigning and creating games with less impact.
